I went to lunch today with my boss and colleagues. Even though I lived in the area, I didn't know about the grotto. It was a real surprise. The location is very fresh, nice, and welcoming especially, as it is surrounded by dense greenery.

Accompanied by some friends, I was for the first time in this beautiful little grotto which is situated amongst the freshness of the Mara valley in Maroggia. Finally a grotto that has remained that way!!! We savoured several dishes...

Excellent food and large portions! A nicely hidden quiet place perfectly suited for group dinners. It is next to the river which is ideal for the summer heat and also includes a beautiful lawn and tables for up to ten people.
